The Piscataway High School baseball team started off the season excellently, winning their first four games before losing their fifth game this season against J.P. Stevens. Right after, the baseball team won one more game against J.P Stevens 7-6. Piscataway would go on a slump after that by losing 4 straight games.

Piscataway’s worst loss of the season so far would be against our neighboring high school, Piscataway Magnet, with the score being 13-1 with Dominick Summonte #26 for Piscataway high school scoring their only run of the game. But Piscataway’s best win of the season so far would be their first game of the season, achieving a 13-0 win over New Brunswick.

Last year Piscataway went 6-13 losing in the first round of the NJSIAA baseball tournament @ Woodbridge 11-1, motivating Piscataway to comeback this season stronger than ever. Let’s hope Pway gets it going in the final stretch of the season!
But then Piscataway is on a 5 game losing streak currently with them scoring a total of 19 points in the past 5 games and the opponents out scoring PHS by 40 points in a total of 5 games. Their worst loss in the past five games was at South River, losing 12-2. #14 Conner Strunk and #17 Alberto Parache scored the only runs in the game for Piscataway. Piscataway is currently 6-10 with only 3 games left to go.

Piscataway’s final 3 games will be against Elizabeth on Saturday 5/2 @10am then will visit Highland Park @4pm on Tuesday 5/5 then will come home for one last game against Timothy Christian @4pm Thursday 5/7. Lets hope Piscataway finishes strong in these final 3 games of the season!
