Sergeant Slifer

Sergeant Chrissie Slifer is a new Staff member here at PHS for the 2025-2026 school year and the new Teacher for the AFJROTC Program. Sergeant Slifer’s passion for teaching started when she was in basic training in the military going in with no confidence and with tough experiences with her Drill Sergeant, but those experiences with her Drill Sergeant pushed her to levels that she thought she could never be. After being established in the Airforce, she realized she could do things which led her to teaching in ROTC after 23 years in the military.
A fun fact about Sergeant Slifer is that one movie she could talk about forever is Lone Survivor Which is a true story movie about a soldier in Afghanistan and in her words “It just really shows the the brotherhood of what happens in the military no matter where people come from or what walks of life they came from, how you like bond, maybe sometimes it’s even closer than your family and then like it shows the resilience of one human being and how much they can go through and still survive’’.
Welcome Sergeant Slifer!
Ms. Morreale

Ms. Crystal Morreale is a Social Worker working at SWAG here in PHS for the 2025-2026 School year. She got into working for the SWAG from her passion of always wanting to help the youth and personal experiences going through high school herself navigating all the stress. She didn’t have that support she wished she had, so that led her down to working in SWAG here in PHS.
She also chose to be a SWAG Social Worker because she wants to cater to students who are whether struggling academically, behaviorally or social and emotionally, she wants to provide that support the best way that she can.
One thing Ms Morreale is looking most forward to the school year both inside and outside the classroom is inside the classroom, learning this new role and really getting to know my students individually, and outside the classroom within the school setting, also learning Piscataway High School and understanding different dynamics and learning new people.
Welcome Ms. Morreale!
Ms. Hensinger

Ms. Megan Hensinger is the new Teacher in the TV Broadcast studion. She chose to be in TV Broadcast after having two television teachers in high school and loved the impact that they made and she wanted to do that herself, so she decided to follow in their footsteps. Ms Hensinger always really liked films and movies and once she joined classes related to films and movies, that’s when she really wanted to continue into her career.
One thing Ms. Hensinger could tell her students about growing up, learning, or finding their place in the world, as she says in her own words, “I think if you, the biggest advice is if you could learn to laugh at yourself. If you could find the humor in everything, especially as you get older with all the challenges, if you could laugh at yourself and if you could have fun being you then you can get through all the situations that life gonna throw at you and take it with a light heart”.
Welcome Ms. Hensinger!
