Piscataway High School’s very own Drama Club performed their annual Broadway Cabaret on Friday, October 16th in the PAC – where drama club members performed 15 acts based on their dream roles. Performers were elated to be able to experience singing in their dream musicals, from Heathers to Newsies and more. Owing to its theme, the night was dreamy, and opened with a humorous act from the Drama Club president and officers.

As the night went on, so did the performances, all preceded by short introductions that gave the audience insight into why each performer chose their particular role. From heartfelt solos to lively groups and duos, each act revealed the unique passions of the students. Every performer brought a personal touch to the stage, blending imagination and talent to make their dream characters come alive.
Students described the experience as both inspiring and emotional, since it allowed them to bring their favorite Broadway roles to life in front of friends, family, and teachers. Whether it was a song they had grown up listening to or a role they hoped to one day play professionally, the Cabaret gave them a moment to step into their dreams. As one member put it, “Watching everyone live up to their dream roles through their performances felt super magical! Through the performances, you could learn about their skills and get an outlook on their personal preferences.”
The Cabaret not only showcased the students’ vocal and acting abilities, but also their deep appreciation for theater as an art form. For many, this night represented more than just a show, it was a chance to celebrate creativity, hard work, and the shared dream of being on stage.
